Since the customers PAY for the shipping of goods, the least that LANE BRYANT, CATHERINES & CACIQUE can do is OFFER its CUSTOMERS "FREE" returns...especailly since they limited the "RETURNS" at the local Lane Bryant stores for CATHERINES merchandise this year.
Stores like Coldwater Creek offers its customers "REDUCED" RETURN SHIPPING (Flat rate of $7.95 to return everything you are not satisfied with). Macy's offers its customers FREE, NO HASSLE RETURNS all the time "or" you can take your RETURNS/EXCHANGES to "any" MACY'S STORE!
I would prefer to take my "returns" to a local store...it's less expensive; however, the closest store (they CLOSED so many Catherine stores throughout the Bay area) is in Modesto (1 hr., 13 min./66.6 miles) away from where I reside (Hayward).
If I had been made "privy" of this...I wouldn't have made a purchase from the CATHERINES website. The Lane Bryant website is built to include Catherines & Cacique merchandise, as well. It's a bit TRICKY if you do not pay attention to the "shop" you're ordering from you can very well be ordering from CATHERINES or CACIQUE.
Wonderful style for the plus size woman and those who are changing up or down. They even do bra fitting. Thanks to my friend Sharon for suggesting it.
Additionally, I noticed at the final checkout it will state LANE BRYANT on the hard copy of the confirmation/receipt. Which, is a bit confusing!
Excellent customer service and very easy to roam around.
Lets see how customers feel about that. There is only 1 or 2 CATHERINES left. It is NOT in our best interest to pay expensive rates to the postal service to RETURN goods. It is not good for the customer to have to travel many miles to "RETURN" an item or items to the only CATHERINE STORE left in Northern California.
Well, in my opinion this is one of the concerns (RETURN POLICY) that should be addressed.
There is a Lane Bryant Store less than 3 miles from my home, but they will NOT accept CATHERINES merchandise as of July 15, 2016! :-(
Can you please SHOUT OUT to Catherines/Lane Bryant Companies, if you think this is not fair/just? They are always taking surveys asking their loyal customers how they are doing.
Perhaps, I'll have to take my business to other stores/shops, I.e. until CATHERINES, LANE BRYANT, CACIQUE can offer it's customers a less EXPENSIVE way to RETURN MERCHANDISE that do not fit properly/the colors do not look like what is offered on the website/the fabric is inferior, missed stitching, etc. WHATEVER the reason for the RETURN!
What is up with CATHERINES, LANE BRYANT & CACIQUE?
If I am going to continue to patronize any of these stores, I feel that they should offer FREE or REDUCED FLAT RATE RETURNS. Or at the very least go back to "how" it use to be.

WHY DO THE WEBSITE PUT "LANE BRYANT" ON THE CONFIRMATION PAGE, IF IT'S A "CATHERINES" PURCHASE. THIS IS VERY MISLEADING AND MAKE CUSTOMERS BELIEVE THAT THEY HAVE PURCHASED "LANE BRYANT" GOODS & THAT THOSE GOODS CAN BE RETURNED/EXCHANGED AT ANY "LANE BRYANT" STORE!
Unfortunately, there aren't any nearby CATHERINES stores in the East Bay... and regrettably Lane Bryant does not accept Catherines RETURNS. It cost the customer too much money to RETURN merchandise by mail.
If you have something like sweaters, athletic wear, jeggings, jeans "OR" "any" heavier items, the RETURN can become quite costly!
*Customers could do their RETURNS/EXCHANGES at "any" of the LANE BRYANT Stores.
Nice but pricy!
EXAMPLE: 1-2 pound parcel with $100.00 Insurance will cost approx. $15.50 to return to Catherines warehouse via USPS or UPS. *Note: 1-2 pounds in clothing may be the weight of 1-2 "light" weight shirts. OUCH!!!
