The office staff is always courteous and they have never given me a reason to doubt the ability of their service department.

Honest, knowledgeable and excellent customer service.

Thankfully, the noise when I turned my steering wheel was gone, and my car seemed to be running smoother. However, the next day I noticed the brakes were still squeaking, and another day later my check engine light came on. I had the code checked at another auto shop, and was informed it was a fairly uncommon code, and was likely just caused by a wire/sensor being loose - potentially from my car being previously worked on. I called the shop back to tell them about the check engine light and that my brakes were still squeaking. They wanted to charge me over $100 to diagnose my car, even though there's a fair chance the previous work I had done on my car caused the light to come on in the first place. The employee who answered the phone also informed me the squeaking noise was probably my brake pads. He said they might just be dusty and to spray the brakes down next time I wash my car, but if that doesn't help I may want to replace the pads. Whenever you replace brake pads, you usually also have to have work done on the rotors, or completely replace them. I wasn't told when I brought my car in the first time that there was anything wrong with my brake pads, even though I specifically mentioned that my brakes were squeaking and needed to be looked at. In fact, if I had been told I needed to replace my brake pads in addition to the other services I needed, that would have brought the total for all of the services up over the maximum I was willing to spend, and I wouldn't have had them do any work on my car, and instead would have just sold it for cheap or donated it. Having spent nearly $600 on the first service, I'm essentially back to where I started with a car that needs several hundred more dollars' worth of work to get it in a condition where it's worth selling - I basically just threw away $600.

Fast friendly service. Very clean shop and waiting area.

They got me in right away, and even had a shuttle service to drop me off at work and pick me back up when my car was finished. They were very friendly, and called me to explain what needed to be fixed with my car. My transmission fluid was dirty, which was likely causing the noise when I turned, so I needed a transmission flush. My brakes needed to be cleaned and the fluid was dirty, but the brakes themselves were still in good shape, so I needed a brake fluid flush to take care of the squeaking. They also mentioned I needed a coolant flush, which I agreed to. They called me and told me what needed to be done, and the total cost for everything was less than the max I wanted to spend, so I gave the go-ahead to do it all. They finished working on my car that day, and picked me back up at work when it was all finished. They said everything was good now, and even charged me a bit less than they initially quoted me over the phone.

I'm very happy with the service done on my vehicle.

If I didn't have this issue with the check engine light and the brakes I would have given this shop 5 stars - I gave 2 stars to account for the excellent customer service and quick turn-around I received during my first contact with them, but also for the major problem they missed.

I have used Dan's Auto Repair for 15+ years, and I have always received excellent service. I bought a used car in 2013 from a local car dealership. I took it to Dan's for a vehicle inspection. They road tested the car and went through it with a fine tooth comb to make sure I was not buying a lemon. The car dealership had done a safety check on the car also since it was being shipped from out of state and they found nothing out of the ordinary. Dan's Auto found the auto-transmission fluid was dark in color, battery terminal ends were corroded, brake fluid test marginal, approximately 60% front and rear brake life remained, and left rear shock absorber was seeping shock oil, but the shock performance did not appear affected as this time. They printed an inspection report of their findings. I took that to the dealership and they rechecked the car again. Dan's Auto vehicle inspection findings were confirmed. The dealership did the necessary service recommended by Dan's since they guaranteed their vehicles. The full vehicle inspection, and with my AAA discount, was only $85.00, which saved me a lot of money in the long run had I not brought it to Dan's for the vehicle inspection.

Terry is great as are the mechanics! Great service, very fair prices, and they get the work done without messing around to milk more labor costs.

Let me start out by saying my initial experience with this shop was great. I was having trouble with my car making funny noises when I turned, my brakes were squeaking and needed to be checked out, and I needed an oil change. I was planning on trading in or selling my car, or donating it if there was a ton of work to be done, so I didn't want to spend a ton of money if a bunch of things were going to be wrong with it.
